In January 2022, St. Joe County Public Library (SJCPL) established an annual charge of $50 to our Mishawaka patrons. In response, on January 20, 2022, the Board of Trustees of the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library moved to reciprocate St. Joe County Public Library’s decision to introduce a $50 fee to MPHPL patrons. This decision was made in respect for the spirit of reciprocal borrowing and in consideration of our MPHPL taxpayers. The fee for SJCPL patrons applying for a new MPHPL card will begin immediately; a grace period of June 1 (2022) is provided for SJCPL patrons already holding an MPHPL card.
