The Harris Branch Youth Courtyard is now open! Families with children can access the courtyard from inside the Children’s area. The secure outdoor 4,000-square-foot fenced-in area features free Wi-Fi, benches and picnic tables. Families are welcome to bring a blanket, pack a picnic and make the most of this beautiful area during our Harris Branch operating hours.

The River Bend Quilt Guild will be hosting their 20th annual Quilt Show at the downtown Mishawaka Library over a three-day period starting Thursday, August 15. The public is invited to attend free of charge during the following days and hours: Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MPHPL Receives $5,000 Grant to Host Creative Programming for Older Adults
The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library is proud to announce that it is receiving a $5,000 grant to host creative aging programming for older adults. “We are thrilled to use this grant to host two, five-week Colorful Creations art series for adults in the Michiana community,” said MPHPL Community Engagement Coordinator Stephanie Maggart.
Storytime Aug. 2 with Professional Basketball Player Devin Cannady
The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library, in partnership with the City of Mishawaka’s Park and Recreation Department, is excited to announce that Mishawaka native Devin Cannady, a professional basketball player and first-time author, will be at the downtown Mishawaka Library on Friday, Aug. 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a special storytime.

Downtown MPHPL Third St. Entrance/Exit Closure
The downtown Mishawaka Library’s Third Street parking lot entrance/exit is temporarily close due to a city sewer project. Motorists can enter the MPHPL parking lot from Lincolnway and exit via Race Street. The sewer project is expected to be complete this fall.
