Families and individuals who want to visit a local history museum will be able to do so for free starting Monday, March 4 by reserving a Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library Discovery Pass. Current pass options admit up to six people and can be checked out up to two weeks in advance.
Downtown MPHPL Third St. Entrance/Exit Closure
The downtown Mishawaka Library’s Third Street parking lot entrance/exit will soon temporarily close due to a city sewer improvement project. The sewer project will begin on Monday, March 4. Motorists will be able to enter the MPHPL parking lot from Lincolnway and exit via Race Street.

Free Income Tax Assistance at the Downtown Mishawaka Library
Individuals and families with an annual household income of $64,000 or less can file for free through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. VITA volunteers will be at the downtown Mishawaka Library on Tuesdays, starting Tuesday, February 6, through Tuesday, April 9.

MPHPL Hosts Second Annual Local Author Fair for Adults Thursday, Nov. 2
The second annual Local Author Fair will take place at the downtown Mishawaka Library from 4 to 7 p.m. and is designed to give writers and readers of adult fiction and non-fiction an opportunity to connect. The public will be able to meet and greet local authors.
Harris Branch to Reopen October 2
MPHPL is excited to announce that regular hours of operation will resume at the Harris Branch Monday, October 2. Doors will open to the Harris Branch October 2 at 10 a.m. Light refreshments, family-friendly festivities and crafts for children will be available throughout the day.
