Adult Services Specialist
Description
This position staffs the Adult Services Reference Desk and assists with a variety of special projects.

Essential Job Duties
· Learn and follow general library operating policies
· Check out and check in library materials; assist patrons with the self-check system
· Issue library cards using patron registration procedures
· Process reserves, holds, interlibrary loans and damaged materials
· Process fines and collect monies
· Participate in shelving and maintenance of adult print collections
· Sort, arrange and shelve library materials according to numerical or alphabetical order
· Answer the phone and direct calls to appropriate staff
· Complete assigned shelf reading and maintain department organization
· Assist patrons and staff with library technology
· Create material displays as needed
· Assist with special projects involving adult print materials, services and resources
· Serve as Building Supervisor as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned

Adult Services Team Leader
Description
Oversees daily Adult Services operations and staff at the assigned location, supports excellent patron experiences, communicates staff and patron needs to the Adult Services Coordinator and serves as branch Building Administrator.

Essential Job Duties
· Lead daily department operations and coach direct reports to support excellent customer service
· Manage building administrative duties, including maintenance and IT tickets, petty cash, and signage
· Staff service desks as needed
· Assign and participate in readers’ advisory, collection development and maintenance, account correspondence, and room reservations
· Promote adult programming, literacy initiatives, and reading challenges
· Participate in professional development, staff training, and system-wide projects
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
· An MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library school
· At least two years of library supervisory experience preferred
Work Skills
· Strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and technology instruction skills
· Proficiency in circulation and reference processes, with the ability to learn new technology quickly
Physical Requirements

Security Technician
Description
The Security Technician helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our community and staff.

o Monday-Thursday: 1:30-7:15 p.m.
o Saturday: 9:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m.

Essential Job Duties
· Perform safety checks within the library on a consistent basis
· Address disruptive behaviors using appropriate de-escalation and redirection techniques in accordance to the library’s policies and procedures
· Respond and assist with emergency situations in a calm and competent manner
· Prepare and submit patron incident reports in a timely manner
· Enforce exclusion policies to banned patrons
· Provide directional guidance and other routine information to patrons
· Provide added security support for after-hours events
· Assist staff with misc. duties, when needed and perform other duties as assigned

· High School Diploma or the equivalent
· Minimum of one year security experience related to the essential functions outlined above preferred
· Customer service experience preferred

· Ability to problem-solve and work cooperatively with patrons and staff
