MPHPL 2023 Local Youth Author Fair

Calling all Michiana Youth Authors! The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library is looking for Michiana authors to participate in the upcoming Local Youth Author Fair Thursday, April 6 from 4-7 p.m. The event is designed to give youth writers and readers in the area an opportunity to connect. Local authors will have the chance to promote their works and sell and sign copies of their publications.

There is no participation cost for authors, but advance registration is required as space is limited. The fair is free for the public and will be held at the downtown Mishawaka Library located at 209 Lincolnway East Thursday, April 6 from 4-7 p.m.

Each participating author will be provided with a six-foot table, up to two chairs and free public Wi-Fi service to use during the fair. For author registration or more information, email Anne Britton at a.britton@mphpl.org.

Local Youth Author Fair

The public is welcome to meet and greet authors; an adult caregiver must accompany children who plan to attend.

Many local authors who have written books for preschoolers will be sharing their books in a storytime setting.

Snacks will be provided.

Kids Book Tasting

A Kids Book Tasting event geared primarily for kindergarten through fifth-grade readers will occur in the Teen area during the author fair.

A book tasting is simply an opportunity for participants to learn about and sample new books, genres or authors that they might not consider otherwise.

Registration is not required for either event.
