Teens may stop by Reference Services at any MPHPL location and pick up a reading record booklet. For every 10 hours read, teens will be entered in a prize drawing that will be held at the end of the program. After the first two(2) coupons (20 hours of reading) have been turned in to Reference Services, participants will earn a Catch the Reading Bug t-shirt.

Participants may continue to turn in coupons for every additional 10 hours of reading. Invalid or incomplete entries will be discarded.

Identical prizes will be given at all MPHPL locations, but only one prize may be won per person. All reading record coupons must be turned in at the Reference Services desk by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31. The drawing will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday August 4. Winners will be notified by mail and a list of winners will be posted at 12 noon on Monday August 4.

Reading materials must be checked out from the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library system, but can come from any area of the library. Items checked out should be at or above your reading level. If you are entering grade 7, you may choose between participating in the children’s program or the young adult program, but you may not participate in both programs or switch programs in the middle of the summer.
