Great Read Alouds and Audiobooks for Families

Whether it's reading a book aloud together or listening to an audiobook, listening to a story can be great fun for everyone.  Reading aloud is a great way to promote a love of reading, expand your child's vocabulary and spend quality family time together.  Listening to a well read story engages children and can keep them occupied on a long trip. Another great thing about reading aloud together, if you feel like some content might not be understood by younger listeners, you can paraphrase it or skip over it.

Here is a list of books you can listen to in the car or read aloud together. We also have great e-Audiobooks available to listen to on your device. Just ask a friendly library staff member for more information or for a how to guide.
