The Young Adult Summer Reading Program is open to students in grades 7-12.
Teens may stop by the Reference Services desk at any MPHPL location and pick up a reading record booklet or download the booklet here. Slips must be returned to the Reference desk. For every book read, you may turn in one reading slip and enter in a weekly prize drawing and a grand prize drawing that will be held at the end of the program. Invalid entries will be discarded. Identical prizes will be given at all MPHPL locations, but only one prize may be won per person in the weekly prizes. All participants will be entered for the Grand Prize Drawing. All reading slips must be turned in at the Reference Services desk by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. Winners will be notified by mail and a list of winners will be posted on Thursday, August 4. |

Reading materials must be checked out from the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library system, but can come from any area of the library. Items checked out should be at or above your reading level. If you are entering grade 7, you may choose between participating in the children’s program or the young adult program, but you may not participate in both programs or switch programs in the middle of the summer. Additional reading record booklets will be available at the Reference Services desk at all MPHPL locations through July 30. Watch for special events with games, fun, and food scheduled throughout the Summer Reading Program! For additional information, contact Reference Services at any MPHPL location. |
