DOGGIE PADDLE TO YOUR LIBRARY! Enjoy a special experience by reading aloud to a canine companion. Children will be paried with a dog and its handler for one 15-minute session. For children in grades 2-5 ![]() SURFING WITH BALLOONS Go surfing with balloons as you learn how to twist balloons with balloon artist, Twister Mike. Pre-inflated balloons will be provided. Registration for children entering grades 4-6 is required and begins Thursday, June 3. ![]() FLOAT YOUR BOAT! Enjoy a sailing story and then become part of the boat crew when you participate in water racing games. After creating your sailboat, float your boat and be a winner. Registration for children entering grades 1-3 is required and begins Tuesday, June 8. ![]() FISHY FUN! Have some fishy fun at the library! The story Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister will be performed. Children are then invited to enjoy deep-sea bowling, lake fishing, and the octopus toss. After a "fishy" movie, children will create their very own Rainbow Fish. For children 3 1/2 years old to entering Kindergarten and their adult caregivers. Registration is required and begins Thursday, June 24. Adults must attend with the child. |
SPLASHES OF SUMMERTIME SAMPLER Join us for some Summer Reading family fun. Our twice-monthly programs will include a mix of stories, skits, reader's theater, and other activities both inside and outside. No registration required. ![]() MAKE A SPLASH! FAMILY WATER GAMES NIGHT We'll start with a story or two, then spread out to various stations to compete in water trough races, toss water balloons, go "fishing", and other fun water activities! Water shoes or sandals are suggested! Towels are optional. No registration required. |
DIVE INTO DIGGING - KIDS GARDEN CLUB A variety of hands on activities are planned to beautify the library grounds while learning techniques for your own home gardens. Parents are welcome to attend. Registration for children entering grades 1-6 is required and begins Wednesday, May 26. ![]() STORIES FROM THE FIRESTATION Firefighters from the Clay Fire Department will be conducting a three-week story program. After each session, the firefighters will have a special event for those registered. For children 3 1/2 to 5 years old (who have not yet entered kindergarten) and their adult caregivers. Registration is required once for this series and begins Wednesday, May 26. ![]() SPLASH INTO A FUN PROJECT Be creative this summer! Visit the Harris Branch Library and participate in our Walk-in-Craft days. There will be a variety of projects available, and you are invited to complete one or all of them. Open to children of all ages and no registration is required. ![]() WOW - WONDERS OF WATER Several fun water related activities will take place both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Registration for children entering grades 1-3 is required and begins Thursday, July 8. |
