February
Downtown Mishawaka Library
Will you be my Valentine? Make a tissue paper Valentine bear to give to someone you love. Then read the book Sweet Hearts by Jan Carr.
Bittersweet Branch Library
February is Mo Willems birthday month. Celebrate the author with one of his "Pigeon" books. Then get creative and make your own pigeon book with Mo's How to Draw the Pigeon in easy steps. The library will display your book on the Children's Services bulletin board and return it at the end of the month.
Harris Branch Library
February's Sharing Box features the book There's an Alligator Under My Bed by Mercer Mayer. Enjoy reading the tale of a little boy who is sure there is an alligator under his bed. Read how he lures the alligator into the garage with a trail of "alligator bait" like cookies, a peanut butter sandwich, fruit, vegetables, and the last piece of pie. Then, make your own alligator picture to take home.
