How to Obtain a Library Card from Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library
To obtain your library card you must:
- Live in Penn or Harris Township, or have a home library card from a library system which is reciprocal with MPHPL (some restrictions may apply).
- Provide a photo I.D. and additional proof of current address (as well as the home library card for reciprocal applicants).
- A parent/legal guardian's signature is required for any minor under the age of 18 wishing to register for or renew a library card.
* Non-residents may purchase a fee card. Costs for a fee card are $70 for individual and $100 for family. The cost for seniors age 60 and up is $51.
Your Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library card is as valuable as a credit card. Many thefts of library materials from cars have been reported. Do not leave any library materials visible in your car. You are responsible for all materials checked out on your card.
If your card is stolen, please call Circulation Services at any MPHPL location. You are financially responsible for material that is checked out until you report your card lost or stolen.
