Media Services

Media Services offers an extensive collection of DVDs, audio books, CDs, and CD-ROMs for loan.  An assortment of media equipment is also available to Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library card holders.

Limits
Videos - 8 per household
DVDs - 6 per household
CD-ROMs - 5 per household
CDs - 10 per card
Audio books on CD - 10 per card
Audio books on cassette - 10 per card

Loan Periods
Audio books, CDs, and CD-ROMs: 21 days
Videos and DVDs: 4 days / Nonfiction videos and DVDs:  7 days
Audiovisual equipment: 1 day 

Renewals may be made one time only on all materials if they are not on reserve for another patron. 
All materials with the exception of videos and DVDs may be renewed online.     Renew Online Here
 

Fines and Fees
Overdue Fines: 
            Audio books and CDs: 15¢ per day 
            Videos, DVDs, and CD-ROMs: $1.00 per item overnight (including weekends and holidays) 
            AV Equipment: $1.00 per HOUR/$2.00 overnight (including weekends and holidays) 
Lost or damaged materials: Library cost of item or damage. 
Video and DVD rental: 75¢ per title 
 
 

Where to Return Materials
Special audio-visual drop boxes are available at each location.  To prevent damage to items, return media materials in the audio-visual drop boxes and not in the book drops.
Main Library: At the downtown Mishawaka Library at 209 Lincoln Way East media materials such as videos, DVDs, audio books, CDs, and CD-ROMs may be returned in the Audio-Visual Materials drop boxes located next to the bookdrops in the parking lot and by the main entrance. 
Bittersweet Branch Library:  The Bittersweet Branch at 602 Bittersweet Road has an audio-visual drop slot located to the left of the main entrance. 
Harris Branch Library:  The Harris Branch at 51446 Elm Road has one audio-visual drop located on the east side of the library.
