Interlibrary Loan
(Borrowing Materials from Other Libraries)
For books or other materials the library does not own, you may request an interlibrary loan. This service is available only to Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Library cardholders.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks to obtain materials through interlibrary loan.  The interlibrary loan librarian will contact you by phone or mail to let you know the material is ready for pickup. The length of the loan period varies; in most cases it is three or four weeks.  If you would like to extend the loan period, you may call the Interlibrary Loan librarian at 574-259-5277, ext. 222, send email to reference@mphpl.org or come to the Reference desk, at least three days before the original due date of the book.

We do not accept requests for entertainment videos, CD-ROMs, or DVDs.

Every effort is made to obtain materials free of charge.  If for any reason this cannot be done, you will be contacted or told at the time of the request.

For more information, contact Reference Services at the downtown Mishawaka Library
at 574-259-5277, ext. 218 or reference@mphpl.org.
